 President Abdul Hamid left here tonight for Singapore on a seven-day visit for undergoing his follow up eye treatment at Singapore National Eye Centre.

Besides the eye treatment, the President is also scheduled to undergo medical checkup at Mount Elizabeth Hospital there.

The President left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here by a regular Singapore Airlines flight at 11.55 pm.

Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, State Minster for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, Dean of the diplomatic corps, cabinet secretary, chiefs of the three services, and concerned high civil and military officials were present at the airport to see him off.

The President is expected to return home on May 3.
